12 pulse rectifier transformers are essentially used in medium voltage steel melting furnaces. Transformer is having 3 windings - one primary & two secondaries. Phase angle between two secondaries is 30 degrees. This configuration suppresses harmonics. Ratings of transformers are up to 10,000 KVA & beyond for system voltage up to 36 KV.

24 Pulse Rectifier transformers are used for High rating melting furnaces. Transformers has 5 windings. One Primary & 4 Secondary windings. Vector Group is DD0y11& Dd0y1. |
